BabyCare

Since August 2013, the Neonatology Unit of the Cova da Beira Hospital Centre has had a monitoring system, supported by the PT Foundation, which allows the parents of premature babies to accompany their children from home or any other place via the Internet.

Through the video cameras that are installed in 7 incubators, the parents of babies can maintain constant contact with their children, 24 hours a day.

Access to the right image and security in the access to each image is ensured through authentication of the user via a password provided by the hospital.

The protocol signed on the eve of World Children's Day, May 31, 2013, was graced by the presence of the chairman of the board of directors of CHCB, Miguel Castelo Branco, Eng. David Lopes, director of PT and Dr. Graça Rebocho, representing the PT Foundation.
