INTENSIVE CARE UNIT

Mission

• Provide specialised and integrated medical care to the high risk, critically ill and postoperative patient. Stabilise their health situation and treat their condition.
• Treat patients over 16 years of age with medical problems - Surgical
• Provide permanent monitoring and intensive care services using specialised techniques.
• Provide support to the Stroke Unit, assist in the evaluation and interpretation of critically ill patients in all services of the hospital and respond to any external requests.
• Research.
• Post-graduate and undergraduate education

Areas of assistive activity

The service consists of inpatient Intensive Care (six beds), consultation of Critical Medicine Care and Nursing and performance of supplementary means of diagnostic.
