OBSTETRICs AND GYNAECOLOGY SERVICE

Mission

The mission of the Obstetrics and Gynaecology Service (SOG) of the Centro Hospitalar da Cova da Beira, EPE is:

1. To provide medical, diagnostic and therapeutic quality care, in the areas of Obstetrics and Gynaecology, and its differentiating branches;
2. To develop, in conjunction with other institutions, Services and Units, preventive care required to implement health to the population it serves;
3. To produce, create and provide access to information and the assistance that meets the needs of the public that resorts to it;
4. To promote research in the administrative, biological and medical, laboratory and clinical areas;
5. To provide pre- and post-graduate education in nursing, medicine and biomedicine;
6. To study the necessary conditions for the alleviation of the suffering of mothers and the ailing and to create the conditions for their implementation;
7. To develop and practice good internal means of management suitable for a good usage of resources;
8. To encourage and nurture its employees at all professional levels, seeking quality performance, tending to the satisfaction of their professional goals and thus their harmonious integration into the work team they are in and of which they should be proud of.
