Mission and objectives

The Documentation and Library Service of the Centro Hospitalar Cova da Beira, EPE comprises a General Library and various Peripheral Libraries located at the Psychiatry and Mental Health Department.

The Documentation and Library Service receives, handles and discloses scientific and technical information, with its collection of documents being essentially comprised of periodic publications and monographs within the health, social service, organisation, administration and statistics areas.

Constantly being updated, the specialised library is primarily aimed at supporting and guaranteeing to all internal users of CHCB, teachers, trainees, students of medicine, nursing and health technicians, access to the information in support of their performance and their professional satisfaction.
