CHILD AND ADOLESCENT PSYCHIATRY SERVICE
Mission
The Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Service aims to assess and intervene in the group of children and adolescents (0-18 years) showing psychiatric problems. The disturbance of mental life has very high personal and social costs, leading to great suffering and interfering significantly in quality of life. Thus, our aim is to help promote pisco-affective development, and the prevention and treatment of mental and emotional disorders in an individual and/or family context.
The work performed in child and adolescent mental health is only meaningful if inserted into a multidisciplinary team, due to the etiopathological multifactoriality of mental disorders.
