Mission
The mission of the Obstetrics and Gynaecology Service (SOG) of the Centro Hospitalar da Cova da Beira, EPE is:
To provide medical, diagnostic and therapeutic quality care, in the areas of Obstetrics and Gynaecology, and its differentiating branches; To develop, in conjunction with other institutions, Services and Units, preventive care required to implement health to the population it serves; To produce, create and provide access to information and the assistance that meets the needs of the public that resorts to it; To promote research in the administrative, biological and medical, laboratory and clinical areas; ToPAEDIATRICS SERVICE

REPRODUCTIVE MEDICINE SERVICE
Mission of the Service
Provide infertile couples, particularly in the region of Beira Interior, with simple access to comprehensive reproductive health care, in order to meet their special needs, both in terms of diagnostic tests and of first- and second-line treatments to promote fertility.
Participate in pre- and post-graduate teaching and collaborate on national and international research projects in related areas.
History of the Service
The Reproductive Medicine Unit of the Cova da Beira Hospital Centre, a Service under the Department of Health of Children and Women, began operating in August 2009. It

BabyCare
Since August 2013, the Neonatology Unit of the Cova da Beira Hospital Centre has had a monitoring system, supported by the PT Foundation, which allows the parents of premature babies to accompany their children from home or any other place via the Internet.
Through the video cameras that are installed in 7 incubators, the parents of babies can maintain constant contact with their children, 24 hours a day.
