Mission

The General Emergency Service at Pêro da Covilhã Hospital is a multidisciplinary and multi-professional service whose mission is to provide urgent and emergent care to patients in need of such care, in all situations that fall under the definitions of Emergency and Medical Emergency, integrating the National Emergency Services Network with a level of Doctor-Surgery, operating 24 hours a day in the care of adults and offering also paediatric care daily between 00:00 and 08:00.

It articulates its activities with the obstetric emergency and paediatric emergency

Mission

EMERGENCY UNIT AND PAEDIATRIC AND NEONATAL EMERGENCY

The Paediatric Emergency service at Centro Hospitalar Cova da Beira, in Covilhã, is located at the rear of the hospital, with access to the exterior and parking lot, on the 1st floor of the building of the Pêro da Covilhã Hospital.
The Paediatric Emergency Service operates 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
The purpose of the Paediatric Service is to provide health care to persons less than 18 years old).
The team consists of physicians, nurses, specialised technicians and administrative staff.
